Parma Preview: Easy on the eye Parma

After gaining promotion to the top-flight, Parma boss Fabio Pecchia was heavily linked with a move away to another Serie A club but he remained at the Emilio-Romagna club as they try to develop their impressive style of football into becoming effective at the top level.

They started well before fading for a few months but Parma come in to this one on the back of improved form. However, their 3-1 defeat of Lazio at the Ennio Tardini a couple of weeks ago was followed up by a 3-1 loss to defending champions Internazionale last weekend.

Hellas Verona Preview: Limited Verona

Hellas Verona, much like last season, started this campaign very well before badly drifting. They started their campaign with an impressive 3-0 demolition of title challenging Napoli at the Bentegodi but have since slipped with just three wins in 12 matches since then.

That run of form means they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom three and the relegation places. The visitors come into this one on the back of four successive losses and that run being extended by a humiliating 4-1 loss at home to Empoli last week.

Parma Team News: A few issues

Colombia international centre-back Yordan Osorio is nearing a return from an injury that has kept him out for the last month or so. However, Parma do remain without the likes of Lautaro Valenti and former Manchester City midfielder Adrian Bernabe.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Suzuki; Hainaut, Leoni, Del Prato, Valeri; Sohm, Keita; Man, Mihaila, Cancellieri; Bonny

Unavailable: Circati (Injured), Valenti (Injured), Adrian Bernabe (Injured), Charpentier (Injured), Kowalski (Injured)

Questionable: Balogh (Injured), Benedyczak (Injured), Yordan Osorio (Injured)

Hellas Verona Team News: Key doubts

Hellas Verona have key injury doubts for this weekend’s trip to the Ennio Tardini. Slovakia international midfielder Ondrej Duda is one of those injury doubts alongside other key players such as Domagoj Bradaric and Suat Serdar.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Montipo; Tchatchoua, Magnani, Dawidowicz, Daniliuc; Belahyane, Silva; Suslov, Dailon Livramento, Lazovic; Tengstedt

Unavailable: Frese (Injured), Juan Manuel Cruz (Injured)

Questionable: Bradaric (Injured), Duda (Injured), Serdar (Injured), Lambourde (Injured)

Parma vs Hellas Verona Prediction

Parma have produced some impressive victories at home so far this season with defeats of AC Milan and Lazio, as well as an early season point against title challenging Fiorentina. Hellas Verona are really underwhelming and the pressure is now mounting on former Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti. Parma are expected to win this one and potentially quite comfortably, especially with their home advantage.

Parma vs Hellas Verona Tip: Parma to win
