Paris Saint-Germain Preview: Parisien brilliance

Paris Saint-Germain have the Coupe de France final against Stade de Reims to look forward to next month, whilst Luis Enrique’s side also set themselves up to face Arsenal over two legs in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, beginning next week.

The Parisiens have been magnificent throughout this campaign and especially in the last few months, having romped to another French title earlier this month. They were held to a 1-1 draw with Nantes at Parc des Princes in their most recent outing the other day.

Nice Preview: Pushing for Europe

Nice, coached by former Lens boss Franck Haise, begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just outside of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots with the southerners hoping to have turned the tide on their Ligue 1 form last weekend.

The visitors were winless in five matches either side of the March international break but Nice now come into this one on the back of a much-needed 2-1 defeat of struggling Angers at the Allianz Riviera last weekend thanks to goals from Pablo Rosario and Ali Abdi.

Paris Saint-Germain Team News: Probable rotation

With that aforementioned semi-final against Arsenal coming up in midweek, PSG are likely to go for some rest and rotation for this one. Ecuador international defender Willian Pacho is still a doubt due to illness, whilst Ousmane Dembele may well be missing through injury once again.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Beraldo, Kimpembe, Hernandez; Doue, Mayulu, Fabian Ruiz; Barcola, Ramos, Lee

Unavailable:

Questionable: Willian Pacho (Illness), Dembele (Injured)

Nice Team News: Couple of doubts

Ahead of their trip to the French capital this weekend, Nice are dealing with a couple of injury doubts for this one such as Canada international defender Moise Bombito and former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Bulka; Abdelmonem, Ndayishimiye, Bard; Clauss, Boudaoui, Rosario, Abdi; Bouanani, Boga; Laborde

Unavailable:

Questionable: Moise Bombito (Injured), Ndombele (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain vs Nice Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain endured their sixth draw of the campaign with 24 victories in their 30 matches in Ligue 1 so far this season. They are 23 points clear of Olympique de Marseille at the top-of-the-table and whilst the priority is on Arsenal, they are going to try and make history in their final four matches. Nice, on the other hand, will hope to take some confidence into this one but even in victory against Angers the other day they have remained underwhelming and PSG are the firm favourites for this one in what should once again be an entertaining encounter, as is pretty much always the case involving the French champions.
