After taking an eventual battering off hosts France in their opening game of the tournament, the United States recovered to dish out their own hammering of New Zealand to give them an excellent chance of quarter-final qualification - albeit Guinea will know that they are still just about in contention, too.

USA PREVIEW: REPEATING THE PAST
Team USA began their Olympic campaign in quite resolute fashion, getting France to the hour mark with the scores still goalless. However, strikes from Alexandre Lacazette, Michael Olise and Loic Bade eventually saw defeat inflicted upon them.
They bounced back from that 3-0 loss to hammer New Zealand by four goals to one with the USA racing into a 3-0 lead inside the opening half an hour. Senior international Paxten Aaronson scored a fourth after 58 minutes before New Zealand’s late consolation through Jesse Randall.
GUINEA PREVIEW: JUST ABOUT STILL IN IT
Under the management of Guinea’s senior national team head coach Kaba Diawara, the Guineans head into the final game knowing one-goal victory, albeit a high-scoring one-goal victory, could be enough to see them into the quarter-finals.
They began with a very disappointing 2-1 defeat to New Zealand in which they thought they had earned a point with a 72nd minute equaliser before going on to concede again before then holding hosts France to just a 1-0 defeat with a 75th minute winner in that game.
USA VS GUINEA PREDICTION
The United States showed some good fight for large parts of their opening match loss to France and they will believe they actually have enough quality to see off the Guineans, too. Guinea know the likelihood is that they would need a France win over New Zealand and probably a two-goal victory in this one. USA found their groove against New Zealand, though, and are expected to join France in the quarter-finals.
