USA have not only accumulated over 100 in each of their four matches across the Olympics so far, they are coming off the back of having racked up their highest score of the tournament, 122 points in a resounding quarter-final victory over Brazil by a 35-point-margin. As for Serbia, they were on the right end of an absolute thriller vs Australia, which saw Nikola Jokic record 21 points and 14 rebounds along with nine assists, just one away from what would’ve been a memorable triple-double.

Jokic has the ability to single-handedly make this a close contest, but the reality is that the USA are the far superior all-round unit. Despite Jokic scoring 20 points when these two teams collided in the group stage, USA were still winners by 110 points to 84. It’s hard to see a vastly different scenario occurring this time around and backing USA to book their place in another gold medal match is the sensible move.
