Belgium, driven on by the relentless scoring of Emma Meesseman have enjoyed a strong Olympic campaign, but they’ll be devastated to have lost out in the semi-finals by such a fine margin. Meesseman’s 19 points and ‘double-double’ wasn’t enough to get her team over the line and the big question is whether the squad can recover fast enough both physically and mentally to go again and produce a high level of performance against Australia.

The Opals were taken down comfortably at the hands of USA by a margin of 21 points, but a significantly tighter encounter is expected here. However, Belgium ace Meesseman should continue to do what she does best and rack up the points with her strong shooting. Expect her to record over 21.5 player points in the bronze medal match.
