Paraguay vs Chile Prediction
Having gone six games unbeaten in qualifying, Paraguay have put themselves in a relatively strong position in the CONMEBOL section. Heading into this fixture, they sit in the final automatic qualification place for the 2026 World Cup, and they have a comfortable four-point buffer over Bolivia below them. Indeed, their most recent qualifier in November saw them face that very team, with Julio Enciso snatching a last-gasp draw for them in El Alto.
Chile, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do given that they sit ninth in the ten-team table. Time is running out for Ricardo Gareca's team if they are claim a qualifying place, but they did offer some hope in November by defeating Venezuela 4-2, while they recorded a morale-boosting 6-1 win in a friendly against Panama last month.
It is likely, then, to be an improved Chile side in Asuncion, and with the hosts likely to be content with a point, consider backing the draw.
