Olivia Gadecki vs Hailey Baptiste prediction

Olivia Gadecki is struggling as of late, with qualifier defeats at the Abu Dhabi Open, Indian Wells and Miami. She then lost in the first round of the Puerto Vallarta Open to compatriot Daria Saville so Gadecki is in need of a boost ahead of the clay court season.

Hailey Baptiste is in the better form of the two players, as the American made her way through the qualifiers at Indian Wells before losing in the second round to Danielle Collins. She then pulled off an upset in Miami, with a three-set victory over 12th seed Daria Kasatkina before falling at the third-round stage.

There are just ten ranking place separating the pair, with Baptiste ranked 90th in the world and Gadecki 100th so this could prove to be close. However, the American is in better form and won the only meeting between the pair which happened to be on clay – a French Open qualifier in 2022. We expect Baptiste to come out on top.
