OLEKSANDR USYK: UNIFIED CHAMP LOOKING TO DEFEND HIS BELTS
Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) returns to Saudi Arabia seven months after he became the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era and the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 24 years.
The Ukrainian has greater confidence in his attitude heading into this fight which is understandable given how the first bout developed. He was so close to ending that fight in the ninth round but a combination between the ropes, the referee and the bell saved Fury from being stopped.
Usyk deserved the win but he will know he has to be just as good, if not better, if he is to retain his belts.
TYSON FURY: REVENGE MISSION FOR LASER-FOCUSED FURY
Tyson Fury (34-1-1) comes off the first loss of his pro career and it will be interesting to see how he responds from the taste of that setback. While he has not a loss before, he has had adversity in the ring with a series of knockdowns and he has always fought back impressively. It would be no surprise to see an even better version of Fury here.
The very fact he admitted to not having his phone for the last few months and not speaking to his wife just shows how focused he is regaining his belts. There is a laser-focus about Fury this time around, and he has spoken about changing his attitude in the bout being more serious this time around rather than changing his style of fighting.
When he is not fully-focused, that is when we have seen the poorer versions of Tyson Fury. When he is absolutely on it, he is as good a heavyweight that has walked the planet.
FIGHT PREDICTION FOR OLEKSANDR USYK VS TYSON FURY 2
What a fight we have in store! The first fight lived up to and surpassed all expectations and there is every chance that this fight does exactly the same.
There is slightly different air around this fight with Usyk a bit more confident but still with good humour; Fury taking this far more seriously and clearly focused.
Fury was fighting a good fight in the first half of the first fight and will take confidence from that. There is logic behind his explanation that he does not plan on changing tactics too much here but will not be joking around and taunting in the ring.
Usyk is unlikely to change things up too much himself however. He will continue being as elusive as he can and will likely take the centre of the ring looking to push the pace.
It could very well come down to who can grab control in the second half of the fight once again. We have slightly more confidence in Usyk maintaining his levels and consistency across the whole fight, but we are expecting to see a better Tyson Fury here.
We do expect him to counter and move, it is just a case of whether he can do it across the whole fight or long enough to get the decision. We can go back and forth on this one but we are just leaning towards Fury edging this one on a narrow decision.
TIP: TYSON FURY TO WIN BY DECISION
