Niels Zonneveld vs Robert Owen Prediction

Niels Zonneveld returns to Alexandra Palace for a fourth time and he will be hoping to at least replicate last year where he managed to get through and win his first match in the tournament. He beat Darren Webster to make it to the second round at the third time of asking before Ross Smith knocked him out. He will be hoping to get through another round and he has to overcome Robert Owen on Monday.

Owen has played in the PDC World Championship just once before and that came in 2023. He lost his only match 2-3 to Andrew Gilding so the 40-year-old will be desperate to get his first win under his belt.

It is the Dutchman who we favour coming into this one. The 26-year-old is more than capable on his day and we just fancy him handling the crowd and the moment better than Owen.
