Nice Preview: Rediscovering their form
With former Lens boss Franck Haise at the helm, Nice have slipped outside of the top six and the European spots ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures. The southerners have endured an underwhelming run of form either side of the March international break.
They come into this one on the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw with Strasbourg in the Alsace region at Stade de la Mosson last weekend in a game in which Nice managed to snatch an equaliser deep into second-half stoppage-time scored by Youssouf Ndayishimiye.
Angers Preview: Anger for Angers
Angers begin the 30th match day of the 34-game 2024/25 Ligue 1 campaign sitting just a couple of places and a few points outside of the bottom three and the danger zone after a horrible run of form throughout the most of the spring time this season, following promotion last year.
However, the visitors did manage to end what was a six-match losing streak last weekend thanks to a 2-0 defeat of bottom-of-the-table Montpellier Herault at Stade Raymond Kopa courtesy of a brace of goals from Emmanuel Lepaul.
Nice Team News: Some fresh issues
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been sidelined for a while and he remains a doubt for Nice this weekend alongside both defender Mohamed Abdelmonem and attacker Mohamed-Ali Cho.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Bulka; Ndayishimiye, Moise Bombito, Dante; Clauss, Boudaoui, Santamaria, Bard; Guessand, Boga; Laborde

Angers Team News: A few doubts
Ahead of the trip to Nice this weekend, Angers are dealing with a few key injury doubts for this one such as Haris Belkelba, Jean-Eudes Aholou, Pierrick Capelle and Emmanuel Biumla, whilst both Cedric Hountondji and Sidiki Cherif are both sidelined, too.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Fofana; Bamba, Lefort, Hanin; Raolisoa, Belkhdim, Aholou, Abdelli, Ekomie; Lepaul, El Melali
Unavailable: Hountondji (Injured), Cherif (Injured)
Questionable: Belkelba (Injured), Aholou (Injured), Capelle (Injured), Biumla (Injured)
Nice vs Angers Prediction
Nice have endured a long winless run of form that has now been extended to five matches as they slip out of the European spots. They have lacked discipline in that run of form and have been too easy to score against at times. They now face an Angers side that have scored just 28 goals in their 29 games this season so that key weakness for Nice may not be exposed here and the hosts grinding out a victory would appear the likeliest outcome for this one.
Nice vs Angers Tip: Nice to win & under 3.5 goals
