PITTSBURGH STEELERS
- Pittsburgh put in an important performance when it mattered most as they overcame AFC North rivals Cleveland in what was a hugely crucial win in their quest to advance to the post-season.
- Running back James Conner missed another game due to his shoulder injury last week but he looks set to suit up for the Steelers in this contest which would give the offense a huge boost.
- On the flip side, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was unable to return to practice on Wednesday with his knee injury continuing to cause problems and if there is any doubt over his fitness, he will not be risked this week.
ARIZONA CARDINALS
- Arizona were completely dominated by Los Angeles Rams and only a garbage-time touchdown prevented them from being shutout by the Rams in what was another poor performance.
- The Cardinals have decided to waive cornerback Tramaine Brock as they look to blood some of their younger players before the end of the season and they should not be under much pressure with Arizona’s play-off hopes already over.
- Safety Jalen Thompson is one player that may not be able to feature in the secondary this week as he deals with a concussion but having participated in a limited capacity on Wednesday, he will be pushing to suit up.
THE PREDICTION
Pittsburgh picked up a timely win against Cleveland as they made it six wins from their last seven games and the post-season is now within their grasp. They will need to back last week's performance up with another big effort here and if they get first-choice running back James Conner back from injury, it will put them in a good position to continue their strong run of form and claim another victory.
