OAKLAND RAIDERS
- Oakland were outclassed by Minnesota as they were made to pay for a slow start which saw the Raiders slip to 1-2 for the season and they face another difficult road game as they head to the improving Indianapolis.
- The Raiders were hopeful that the ankle injury suffered by LB Marquel Lee on the first drive of last Sunday's contest was not too bad but it turned out to be significant and he has been placed on IR.
- Fellow LB Vontaze Burfict is also struggling with three different injury issues and looks to be in some doubt for Sunday’s game despite being a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice whilst RG Gabe Jackson is likely to miss out once again with a knee injury.
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
- Indianapolis improved to 2-1 for the season as QB Jacoby Brissett led his side to a solid victory in the Colts' home opener and they will fancy their chances of improving to 3-1 as they host the Raiders.
- The Colts will be sweating on the fitness of WR T.Y. Hilton after he suffered a quad injury in the first half of last week's game and he was absent from Wednesday’s first practice session of the week.
- LB Darius Leonard also missed the first practice due to concussion and he will have to overcome the protocols to feature in this game whilst several other players are also doubts with seven players in total completely sitting out on Wednesday.
THE PREDICTION
Indianapolis have started the season incredibly well considering they lost Andrew Luck on the eve of the new season. Jacoby Brissett has stepped into the starting role admirably with the QB putting in another composed showing last week and he can guide his side to 3-1 here. The Raiders have not quite clicked so far this season and with Indianapolis trending upwards, they will run into more difficultly in what is likely to be their third defeat of the season.
