NEW YORK GIANTS
- New York Giants will have to improve quickly or face the prospect of another poor season after falling to 0-2 with a loss against Buffalo but have made a peculiar decision ahead of their Week 3 trip to Tampa.
- The Giants have opted to bench QB Eli Manning after just two games with rookie Daniel Jones set to start his first NFL game but questions will be asked of head coach Pat Shurmur’s decision to bench Manning so early in the year.
- Giants RG Kevin Zeitler played on through a shoulder issue last week and will be assessed day-to-day ahead of this clash but should feature along with WR Sterling Shepard who should return after missing out through concussion last week.
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
- Tampa Bay shocked Carolina on TNF to pick up their first win of the year with the Bucs showing some impressive signs in that victory but the challenge for them will be to back that up in this contest.
- The Buccaneers could be without rookie LB Devin White for this game after he picked up an MCL sprain in his side's win over Carolina and he is considered day-to-day ahead of this clash with him failing to participate in the early practices of the week.
- Fellow LB Devante Bond and CB Jamel Dean were also missing from the first two practices of the week and their availability is up in the air with the Bucs desperate to get them on the field on Sunday or they will be missing some key men in defense.
THE PREDICTION
New York Giants had the option to change their QB to turn their fortunes around and they have done just that for this road game against Tampa. Daniel Jones will make his first start in the NFL with Eli Manning benched with the rookie under pressure to guide his side to their first victory of the season. The Buccaneers will look to build on last week's win over Carolina and with the Giants having too many question marks surrounding them, the home side should be able to make it consecutive victories.
