KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
- Kansas City almost threw away a big lead in their clash with Baltimore but held on to maintain their perfect start to the season thanks to their outstanding offense proving the difference.
- The Chiefs have issues at RB and Darrel Williams could maintain a big workload with LeSean McCoy and Damien Williams in doubt although both could still feature in some form come Sunday’s game.
- T Eric Fisher was a non-participant at the Chiefs’ first practice of the week on Wednesday and whilst there was a long list of players named on the injury report, the majority were all full participants with QB Patrick Mahomes being one of those.
DETROIT LIONS
- Detroit produced another good performance to stay unbeaten for the season with a 2-0-1 record after defeating Philadelphia but they will face a massive test of their credentials as they face Kansas City.
- The Lions will be desperately waiting for news on DT Mike Daniels' foot injury after he was forced to exit the game last week and although he sat out Wednesday’s practice, his status for this week and beyond is still unclear.
- WR Danny Amendola is another who is in doubt this week after he too sat out the first practice of the week with a chest issue but the Lions are hopeful he can overcome his knock to suit-up on Sunday.
THE PREDICTION
Kansas City did not let injuries have an impact on their offense as QB Patrick Mahomes continued to shine in his side's win over Baltimore. They now face an unbeaten Detroit team but the Lions have perhaps been aided by fortunate circumstances in each game and the Chiefs should be too strong. The Lions have conceded 24 points or more in two of their games so far and that number could be surpassed once again by the Chiefs, with Detroit unlikely to be able to match them if that is the case.
