Newcastle Knights vs Wests Tigers prediction
The Newcastle Knights head home after a torrid battle against the Bulldogs in Sydney last week. Similarly, the Wests Tigers played well in the early going in Brisbane, but a 25-minute period in the middle of the game where they conceded 32 points, proved their downfall.
Both sides have two wins for the season and this clash looms as pivotal for their finals hopes. The Knights suffered multiple injuries early in their match last week and could well be excused for fatigue even seven days later. The Tigers had their chances against the Warriors but fell just short 26-24.
Newcastle have won seven straight contests against the joint venture club and nine of the past eleven. This clash is in fact a rematch of Round 1 where the Knights prevailed in a tight contest 10-8.
We expect more points to flow in this one, with some fatigue later in the match playing a significant role.
Newcastle Knights vs Wests Tigers tip: Total match points scored over 44.5
