Nathan Aspinall has dug himself out of a tough spot in the Premier League as, after failing to win a game in the first two weeks, he has put points on the board in each of the last three weeks and reached the final in two of those, most recently in Brighton.

'The Asp' suffered early exits at both the Belgian Darts Open over the weekend and Players Championship 6 on Wednesday, but he has gained confidence in the Premier League and will back himself to progress to the semi-finals at least.

Michael van Gerwen is yet to reach a final in the current Premier League campaign but he has advanced to the last four in four of the five weeks to date, which keeps him just inside the top four heading into Night 6.

The Dutchman will have been disappointed by his second-round exit in Belgium though, and despite a couple of standout performances in the two recent Players Championship events, he didn't go beyond the last eight in either tournament and it feels like he needs a title to restore some consistency to his game.

This could be a nervy affair with some missed doubles on show, and it could well go over 9.5 legs as neither player seizes control.
