Nantes are dealing with several key injury doubts for this weekend’s visit of Lyon as goalkeeper Alban Lafont is a potential absentee alongside the likes of Nathan Zeze, Douglas Augusto and Zimbabwe international attacker Tino Kadewere.

Lyon Team News: Couple of absentees

Lyon have a very deep squad and that is a problem as they must shift players this month to avoid an administrative relegation down to Ligue 2. England international Ainsley Maitland-Niles is a doubt due to illness whilst key man Malick Fofana is also an injury concern.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Perri; Kumbedi, Clinton Mata, Niakhate, Tagliafico; Veretout, Matic, Tolisso; Cherki, Mikautadze, Benrahma

Questionable: Maitland-Niles (Illness), Fofana (Injured)

Nantes vs Lyon Prediction

Nantes, with Antoine Kombouare still at the helm, hover just above the bottom three having managed just one Ligue 1 victory since August and they are set for a fight between now and the end of the campaign. They most recently shared a third successive draw in the league after conceding an 86th minute equaliser to Saint-Etienne at Stade Geoffrey-Guichard last weekend. Lyon have managed just one win in their last four matches in Ligue 1 and Pierre Sage’s chaotic and inconsistent visitors shared a goalless draw with Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League in Istanbul in midweek. However, even with home advantage, given the lack of Nantes wins this season, a double chance bet in favour of Lyon looks the way to go for this one.

Nantes vs Lyon Tip: Double chance – Lyon to win or draw
