Nantes Preview: Fading Nantes
Last season, Nantes managed to steer themselves clear of the bottom three and the danger zone. They decided to sack Pierre Aristouy as well as Jocelyn Gourvennac with Antoine Kombouare coming in and eventually steadying the ship. They started the season very well but they have since drifted and sit just outside of the relegation places.
The Canaries come into this one on the back of a 3-2 defeat to Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis a couple of weeks ago with a last minute winner from Adrien Thomasson. That means they have now suffered three successive defeats and are winless in their last eight matches since August with Kombouare now coming under growing pressure.
Le Havre Preview: Loose Le Havre
Last season, Le Havre, in their first season in Ligue 1 in over 15 years, managed to narrowly avoid relegation before manager Luka Elsner departed for Stade de Reims with the Slovenian coach being replaced by former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard. They had some good early season performances but have since and now sit firmly in the bottom two and the relegation places.
Le Havre come into this one on the back of being hammered by Elsner’s new club, Reims, at Stade Oceane a couple of weeks ago before the November international break with Oumar Diakite, Keito Nakamura and Junya Ito scoring in that game. They have won three and lost eight of their opening 11 matches so far this season.
Nantes Team News: Pallois suspension
Nantes and Kombouare has been dealing with internal issues such as fall outs with key players like Johann Lepenant and Jean-Charles Castelletto but they have overcome those issues.
Lepenant is now missing due to an injury alongside former Lyon forward Tino Kadewere, whilst Nicolas Pallois is unavailable due to suspension due to too many yellow cards.
Predicted XI (3-4-3): Lafont; Castelletto, Guirassy, Duverne; Amian, Pedro Chirivella, Douglas Augusto, Cozza; Abline, Mostafa Mohamed, Simon
Unavailable: Pallois (Suspended), Lepenant (Injured), Kadewere (Injured)

Nantes vs Le Havre Prediction
Nantes will seek to get on the front foot with home advantage but it cannot be denied that they are running very low on confidence and the susceptibilities that left them battling relegation for most of last season have begun to show. Le Havre want to play their own front foot style of football and it remains the best bet that it could be an entertaining game but the value is in siding with the visitors at Stade de la Beaujoire.
Nantes vs Le Havre Tip: Double chance – Le Havre to win or draw
