Namibia vs Equatorial Guinea Prediction

As we approach the sixth game of CAF’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying group phase, Namibia sit second, just a place and a couple of points behind Tunisia at the top of the group, whilst the Equatorial Guinea have managed two victories with three defeats.

The Namibians come into this one on the back of a slender but impressive 1-0 defeat of Malawi at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe in Malawi thanks to a 40th minute winner scored by Prins Tjiueza. They have managed to score just seven goals in their five appearances with just one goal conceded, collecting 11 points in their five matches.

They face an Equatorial Guinea side that have performed well in recent CAF Africa Cup of Nations campaign but the banning of captain Emilio Nsue has provoked an underwhelming run of form. They did most recently, though, manage to comfortably defeat a poor Sao Tome e Principe side at Nuevo Estadio de Malabo the other day.

Namibia will be slight favourites and will be, as ever, keen on being controlling and defensive in this one against the Equatorial Guineans, especially with their home advantage.
