Muhammad Naimov: Tajik star looking to get back on track with win

Muhammad Naimov (11-3) saw a six-fight win streak come to an end last time out as Felipe Lima submitted him in June last year. That was a blow to him as he has risen up the rankings in the featherweight division but he will look to get back on track here against Kaan Ofli. He won his first three fights in the UFC with two of those coming by knockout and 30-year-old from Tajikistan will relish the opportunity to fight in Saudi Arabia for the second fight in a row.

Kaan Ofli: Aussie fighter coming off first MMA KO loss

Kaan Ofli (12-3-1) was knocked out on his UFC debut last time which was the first-ever time he had been stopped in that manner. The setback against Mairon Santos at UFC on ESPN 62 in August will not have been an easy one for him to take but he has spoken positively about responding to that loss and how his preparations have been much better for this fight. The UFC matchmakers have not gone easy on him however so he will have to raise his game as he takes on the talented Naimov.

Muhammad Naimov vs Kaan Ofli Prediction

The last bout on the prelims has the makings of a Fight of the Night contender as Muhammad Naimov takes on Kaan Ofli.

The UFC matchmakers must rate Ofli as they have given him another really tough test in just his second bout in the organisation and he is going to have his work cut out here.

He faces an experienced Naimov who is coming off a loss but has otherwise been looking really good in recent times.

Whether Ofli can bounce back from not only a loss on his debut but his first knockout loss of his career, that remains to be seen against somebody of the calibre of Naimov.

This promises to be a really close hard-fought match-up and we just about edge Naimov to take what should be a quality bout.

Prediction: Muhammad Naimov to win
