Montpellier Preview: Woeful season

Montpellier Herault begin the 31st match day of the 2024/25 Ligue 1 campaign sitting 12 points adrift of third-from-bottom relegation playoff place Le Havre with just four games of the campaign to go due to four victories in their 30 matches so far this season.

The home team come into this one on the back of a 5-1 annihilation at the hands of Olympique de Marseille at Stade Velodrome last weekend. That hammering means Montpellier have now suffered 11 successive defeats since beating Toulouse in late-January.

Reims Preview: Improved Reims

Stade de Reims started the season reasonably well under the management of Slovenian coach Luka Elsner but they have since majorly collapsed. That has been steadied by Samba Diawara as they push themselves away from the bottom three and the danger zone.

The visitors are preparing for the Coupe de France final against Paris Saint-Germain in May and they come into this one on the back of three victories in four matches, most recently defeating ten-man Toulouse by a goal to nil last weekend.
