Montpellier vs Lyon Prediction

Montpellier Herault come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Strasbourg at Stade de la Meinau last weekend due to goals from Emmanuel Emegha and Sebastian Nanasi. The home team have managed two victories in their last 11 matches across all competitions despite a general improvement since the appointment of former Ivory Coast boss Jean-Louis Gasset. They now face a Lyon side that are chaotic both on and off the pitch with John Textor recently taking the fairly bizarre decision to sack manager Pierre Sage and replace him with Paulo Fonseca. After a slow-ish start to Fonseca’s reign, Lyon hammered Reims by three goals to nil last weekend and they are the firm favourites for this one, too.
