Monaco Team News: Finding some form

Monaco’s dip in form has been with players losing form all over the pitch but key men in attack, Maghnes Akliouche and Eliesse Ben Seghir, have notably dipped. Mika Biereth has arrived from Sturm Graz this month, whilst United States international striker Folarin Balogun still sidelined.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Majecki; Teze, Kehrer, Salisu, Ouattara; Magassa, Camara; Akliouche, Minamino, Ben Seghir; Biereth

Unavailable: Balogun (Injured)

Questionable: Ilenikhena (Injured)

Rennes Team News: Change at Rennes

After the big money signings of both Seko Fofana and Brice Samba, this week has seen departures from Roazhon Park as Albert Gronbaek has joined Southampton on loan, whilst Baptiste Santamaria has also departed on loan, signing for Ligue 1 rivals Nice.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Samba; Hateboer, Ostigard, Wooh; James, Ahamada, Matusiwa, Truffert; Blas, Fofana; Kalimuendo

Unavailable: Seidu (Injured), Assignon (Suspended)

Questionable: Kamara (Injured)

Monaco vs Rennes Prediction

Former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter has done an impressive job at Monaco and that has continued this season, albeit they have drifted in the last couple of months. However, the principality club did manage to defeat Aston Villa by a goal to nil in the UEFA Champions League in midweek. They now face a Stade Rennais side that haven’t had the turnaround in their fortunes that they would have expected after the appointment of former Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli in November. They were beaten 2-1 at home by Stade Brest last weekend and the Monegasque will be expected to take advantage of Rennes this week.
