Monaco Team News: Singo still out

Monaco defender Wilfried Singo has been a key man for Monaco throughout the campaign but he has picked up a hamstring injury so will be unavailable for a while. They are also without both George Ilenikhena and Folarin Balogun, whilst Jordan Teze is also a doubt.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Majecki; Vanderson, Kehrer, Salisu, Mawissa; Camara, Zakaria; Akliouche, Minamino, Golovin; Biereth

Unavailable: Singo (Injured), Ilenikhena (Injured), Balogun (Injured)

Questionable: Teze (Injured)

Auxerre Team News: Traore a doubt

Former AFC Bournemouth man Hamed Junior Traore has been a key man for Auxerre this season but he is now an injury doubt for the visitors alongside Theo Pellenard and Kevin Danois, whilst both Nathan Buayi-Kiala and Lasso Coulibaly are definitely sidelined.

Predicted XI (5-4-1): Leon; Joly, Diomande, Jubal, Akpa, Mensah; Perrin, Owusu, Massengo, Traore; Sinayoko

Unavailable: Buayi-Kiala (Injured), Coulibaly (Injured)

Questionable: Pellenard (Injured), Traore (Injured), Danois (Injured)

Monaco vs Auxerre Prediction

Former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter has done a generally good job in charge of Monaco but the Monegasque have underperformed in the last couple of months. Their 3-0 defeat to Internazionale at San Siro in the UEFA Champions League in midweek means they have now managed just four victories in their last 13 matches across all competitions. They face an Auxerre side that went into the winter break sitting in the top-half of Ligue 1 after an impressive run of form before the end of the year but the visitors’ 1-1 draw at home to Saint-Etienne last weekend has stretches their winless run to eight matches across all competitions. So, despite their dip in form of late, Monaco are expected to come out on top, especially at Stade Louis II in the principality.
