Molly McCann vs Alexia Thainara Prediction

Molly McCann returns to action and is in much need of a victory having lost three of her last four fights in the UFC. The English star last fought at UFC 304 in Manchester last July where she lost via unanimous decision against Bruna Brazil and Meatball will be well aware that she needs a win to get back on track.

She has been matched up against a really talented and tough Brazilian fighter in Alexia Thainara. Burguesinha has won her last nine fights and she impressed in Dana White’s Contender Series where she beats Rose Conceicao by unanimous decision last September.

Thainara has yet to prove herself at the highest level and it will be interesting to see if she can rise to the occasion. McCann has far more pedigree and experience at the highest level there are question marks about how much gas she has left in the tank and this fight will tell us a lot.

We have struggled watching McCann in her last few fights and we find it hard to like her in this fight. Thainara is younger and hungrier and a fighter on the up. For that reason, we think the Brazilian just had too much for McCann.

Prediction: Alexia Thainara to win
