RONALDO RODRÍGUEZ: MEXICAN LOOKING TO MAKE HIS MARK ON THE BIGGEST STAGE

After losing in Dana White’s Contender Series, Ronaldo Rodriguez went back to the LUX organisation in Mexico and has got back to winning ways and has earned himself a spot on this card.

He carries a 16-2 record, albeit much of that has been in regional organisations, but he won via rear-naked choke submission on his UFC debut last time out against Denys Bondar in February. He has now been handed a spot on this prestigious card and will be desperate to make his mark.

ODE’ OSBOURNE: JAMAICAN LOOKING TO SNAP TWO-FIGHT LOSING SKID

The pressure is on Ode’ Osbourne coming into this bout as the Jamaican has now lost three of his last four in the UFC and he has to feel like his spot on the roster is under threat. That may make him somewhat dangerous but he is going to have to raise his levels after losing his last two bouts; both via rear-naked chokes.

He brings a 12-7 (with one no contest) record into this fight and while he’s been around the UFC for some time as he is an entertainer, he now needs a win.

RONALDO RODRÍGUEZ VS ODE’ OSBOURNE PREDICTION

Two fighters meet here in very different stages in their career but what makes this fight so appealing is the desperation both will have to win this bout. It is not an easy one to assess as Rodriguez’s career and record has been built outside of the UFC at lower quality organisations. The key will be whether his impressive skillset can raise a level now.

As for Osbourne, he has fought the better opposition but has struggled in the last couple of years and is beginning to look a little limited with his weaknesses being exposed.

We like the momentum that Rodriguez has and there is little question the pro-Mexican crowd will be firmly behind him too. This is a huge opportunity for him to really get his career off the ground in the UFC and we fancy him to get the stoppage.

PREDICTION: RONALDO RODRIGUEZ TO WIN BY SUBMISSION OR KO/TKO
