We first saw Rayanne dos Santos (14-6) last year on the Contender Series where she met Denise Gomes. It was a tough audition where she lost a unanimous decision. She bounced back with an easy win on the local scene submitting flyweight Vitoria Karolina (2022). She then picked up two unanimous decisions under the Invicta banner over Katie Saull and Jillian DeCoursey this year to earn another opportunity in the big time.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion Talita Alencar (4-0-1) also had a tough audition on the Contender Series. She took on Stephanie Luciano back in September and fought to a draw keeping her unbeaten record intact. She inevitably submitted her first three opponents in Titan FC and earnt a unanimous decision over Kelsey Arnesen in LFA back in April.

Alencar is a decorated jiu-jitsu ace, but dos Santos has the priceless MMA experience in the bank. She also has very good jiu-jitsu although it is not on the same level as Alencar, so we expect her to try and keep this on the feet.
Once Alencar’s wrestling improves she will be an absolute force. It still needs a lot of work and dos Santos has decent takedown defence making her the favourite. That said, Alencar only needs one opportunity to cinch something up, so she is the value bet.
We are backing dos Santos’ experience and power to avoid the danger on the deck, but Alencar could slice through with one takedown.
