RAUL ROSAS JR.: 19-YEAR-OLD PRODIGY LOOKING TO MAKE HIS MARK
Raul Rosas Jr returns to action for his fifth fight in the UFC at the tender age of just 19. After coming through Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2022, Rosas has thrived in the UFC winning three fights and suffering the only loss of his career which was a decision loss to Christian Rodriguez. He comes off a win over Ricky Turcios at UFC on ESPN 57 in June and he will be looking to follow that submission win and build on his 9-1 record.
AORI QILENG: THE ‘MONGOLIAN MURDERER’ AIMS TO UPSET THE ODDS
31-year-old vet Aori Qileng returns after six months when his last fight was considered no contest after an accidental kick in the groin against Daniel Marcos at UFC Fight Night 236. The Chinese bantamweight has an impressive 25-11 (with one no contest) record but he has a 3-3 record in the UFC (with the N/C bout). He has not found it so easy in the world’s best organisation and he faces a tough examination against the talented Rosas here.
RAUL ROSAS JR. VS AORI QILENG PREDICTION
Raul Rosas Jr has plenty of hype surrounding him and always has since he was handed a UFC contract at the age of just 17 becoming the youngest ever to fight in the organisation. As he continues to build an impressive resume, that hype continues to grow and the pressure at UFC 306 will be greater than ever.
He has so far backed up the hype however and there is every chance he will do so once again here against Aori Qileng. The Chinese veteran has seemingly been picked by matchmakers to test him but it is hard to see him posing Rosas too many issues.
We don’t love the odds on Rosas but he should get the win and the historic show off to a great start. If you’re looking for value, consider Rosas on the scorecards.
PREDICTION: RAUL ROSAS JR TO WIN
