Punahele Soriano’s (9-3) only win in his last four was a vintage knockout over Dalcha Lungiambula in July last year. He lost decisions to Brendan Allen (2021) and Nick Maximov (2022) prior to that and is coming off a ruthless second-round knockout served up by Roman Kopylov back in January. So, he is desperate to emulate that ‘Performance of the Night’ in Austin.
Dustin Stoltzfus (14-5) is in even worse form going 1-4 in the UFC. He lost a unanimous decision to Kyle Daukaus (2020) on debut and then proceeded to get submitted by jiu-jitsu wizards, Rodolfo Vieira (2021) and Gerald Meerschaert (2021). He extended his shelf life by earning a unanimous decision over Dwight Grant (2021) but is also coming off a devastating knockout loss which was courtesy of Abus Magomedov in September last year.

Both of their UFC careers are hanging by a thread and a convincing loss could spark the end of their time on the big stage.
Stoltzfus is a decent grappler, but he does his best work on the feet as a former kickboxer. He is an exciting striker which will create a fun scrap as Soriano is also a striker by trade.
Unfortunately, for Stoltzfus, Soriano is more explosive, more powerful and quicker. The longer Stoltzfus decides to stand, the more chance he has in getting sparked out.
Soriano is also a very strong wrestler and will utilize it to keep the fight on the feet. This is a bad stylistic match-up for Stolzfus and we can see him getting knocked out.
