100% of Nasrat Haqparast’s (15-5) wins ended via knockout before the UFC, yet he only has one knockout win in his seven wins in the UFC. His last six fights have ended via unanimous decision outpointing Alexander Munoz (2020) and Rafa Garcia (2021) before falling to Dan Hooker (2021) and Bobby Green (2022). Now he is coming off comfortable wins over John Makdessi (2022) and Landon Quinones (2023)
Jamie Mullarkey (17-6) is fresh off his own unanimous decision victory over Makdessi (2023) at UFC 293. That came in response to getting knocked out by Muhammad Naimov (2023) in the second round. He is now 5-4 in the big time with all his UFC fights ending via knockout or decision.

Even though Haqparast’s knockout reputation has faded, he still hits hard and Mullarkey has been knocked out four times. He will try and keep the fight on the feet and back himself to find the chin.
Mullarkey is a good boxer with crippling leg kicks, but we expect him to respect Haqparast’s striking and try and get him on his back. He will look at Hooker’s fight as a blueprint in closing the distance and subduing him.
The more he strikes, the more opportunities he will give Haqparast to find a fight-changing blow. We can see him finding the chin and even reeling off a knockout. However, we can also see Mullarkey enforcing a pressure and wearing Haqparast down in the clinch and taking him down earning a decision.
As the underdog, Mullarkey is the smart play, but we have a feeling Haqparast will turn back the clock with a vintage knockout.
