This fight went exactly how we predicted. Eye had the boxing advantage and looked relatively dangerous on the feet. However, Calvillo completely held her own in the exchanges and even landed some big head kicks in the first round but it was her grappling that took the fight away from Eye.

Calvillo landed four takedowns and kept Eye down while relentlessly looking for submissions. The fact this was her first five-round fight taking on the number one contender on short notice, she will only get better and likely meet the Queen of the division, Valentina Shevchenko at some point.
