VICTOR MARTINEZ VS TOM NOLAN LOWDOWN
When Victor Martinez (13-5) earnt the UFC call-up after outpointing Jacob Rosales (2021) on the Contender Series, he was sitting proudly on a seven-fight win streak. Jordan Leavitt (2023) welcomed him to the octagon and gave him an elbow of reality, pounding him out in the first round.
Tom Nolan (6-1) is also coming off a debut loss. He smoked Bogdan Grad (2023) on the Contender Series to extend his flawless run to 6-0. He met Nikolas Motta (2024) at UFC Fight Night 234 and also suffered a humbling first-round knockout loss.
VICTOR MARTINEZ VS TOM NOLAN PREDICTION
This should be a fun scrap between two aggressive strikers. Martinez is explosive and Nolan will plod forward leveraging his three-inch reach and six-inch height advantage to snipe from range.
The knockout losses pose a lot of questions for these two and it will be very interesting to see if they approach this in their usual manner. Their striking defence has to improve and we expect Nolan to do a better job patching the holes in his game.
We are backing Nolan to win the majority of striking exchanges to earn a decision at least. However, considering the odds, Martinez makes more sense.
