TATSURO TAIRA VS CARLOS CANDELARIO LOWDOWN
Making his UFC debut this weekend, Tatsuro Taira (10-0) will be looking to maintain his unbeaten record. Having impressed massively across the regional scene, Taira will be looking to show Dana White and the rest of the UFC what he is capable of when he steps foot inside the UFC octagon for the first time.
As for Carlos Candelario (8-1), despite losing against Victor Altamirano in the Dana White’s Contender Series, Candelario has been presented with a golden opportunity to showcase his talent and prove why he deserves to be in the UFC. Currently 4-1 in his last five outings, Carlos will be itching to get back in the win column.
TATSURO TAIRA VS CARLOS CANDELARIO PREDICTION
Heading into this weekend’s flyweight showdown, Candelario will have a one-inch height advantage over the Japanese native.
Taira is a huge favourite heading into the showdown with Candelario. Whilst Tatsuro is extremely gifted, Candelario can certainly cause Taira some problems as he is very well rounded.
However, we suspect that Tatsuro will look to get the fight to the floor as soon as possible. In Candelario’s previous fights, he’s shown some slight weaknesses in his ability to grapple. In the end, Tatsuro will have no issue in getting the fight to the mat, where we feel as if he will get the submission victory.
