NIKOLAS MOTTA VS TOM NOLAN LOWDOWN
Nikloas Motta (13-5(1)) heads to the APEX desperate for a UFC win. He made his debut at the start of 2022 and was welcomed by a Jim Miller knockout. He bounced back with a knockout of his own against Cameron VanCamp seven months later but got smoked again. This time, thanks to Manuel Torres’ (2023) elbow. He returned two months ago to fight Trey Ogden and initially looked like he got submitted but the fight was later deemed a ‘No Contest’ due to a referee error.
Tom Nolan (6-0) makes his UFC debut after just six professional fights. He kick-started his career with a few easy dubs for Eternal MMA in his native Australia. Three knockouts on the bounce led to his opportunity on the Contender series which he took with both hands knocking Bogdan Grad (2023) out in the first round.

This is a tough match-up for Motta. He is taking on a debutant with a lot of pressure on maintaining his spot on the roster. Nolan is a young and hungry striker with a lot of power in his hands.
Four of Motta’s five losses coming via knockout making Nolan the favourite despite the discrepancy in experience. The Aussie is very green and his grappling is completely unproven.
However, Motta is also a striker and we can see some feisty exchanges. The Brazilian is also a dynamic and dangerous striker, but we feel Nolan’s height and reach advantage will allow him to land that killer blow.
