Montana De La Rosa (12-8-1) was preparing to fight Stephanie Egger who unfortunately had to pull out. Thankfully, she is still on the card as she is desperate to claw a win back. She is coming off two losses. She lost a unanimous decision to Maycee Barber last year and then got fed to Tatiana Suarez back in February getting submitted in the second round to chip her UFC record down to 5-4-1.
JJ Aldrich (12-6) steps up to replace Egger for her third appearance of the year. She was also coming off two losses on the bounce after getting submitted by Erin Blanchfield (2022) and then outpointed by Ariane Lipski (2023). She got lined up with Na Liang in August and picked up her first finish in the UFC, TKOing her in the second round.

It is very surprising to see Aldrich start out as a favourite. She got taken down five times in her last couple fights and is taking on a high-level wrestler with a full training camp under her belt.
Aldrich is no slouch in the grappling department, but De La Rosa has a clear advantage when it comes to wrestling. Aldrich is the better striker and the longer this stays on the feet, the more chance she has of winning a decision with her output.
However, we expect De La Rosa to take her down in each round and assume enough control time to sway the judges. Aldrich will make her work hard, but this should be a vintage decision with for De La Rosa.
