MOLLY MCCANN VS BRUNA BRASIL LOWDOWN

Molly McCann (14-6) continues her quest down at strawweight. After getting submitted by Erin Blanchfield (2022) and Julija Stoliarenko (2023) to go 6-5 at flyweight, she made the steep cut down 115 lbs. She made weight and looked superb collecting a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus and her first submission win after catching Diana Belbita (2024) in an armbar in the first round.

Now, she takes on Bruna Brasil (9-4-1) who is now 1-2 in the UFC after losing her last fight. Her debut could not have gone much worse getting knocked out by Denise Gomes (2023). She responded with a unanimous decision over Shauna Bannon (2023) but is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Loma Lookboonmee (2024) at UFC Fight Night 236.

MOLLY MCCANN VS BRUNA BRASIL PREDICTION

The stage is set for another McCann whirlwind. She is the favourite and after her debut at strawweight, it is no surprise. Boxing is her bread and butter and her wrestling continues to improve.

Brasil also prefers to strike with a variety of attacks. She has the tools to cause the upset however, this is a good match-up for the scouser. The Brazilian does not throw enough volume and does not have the wrestling to counter McCann’s cardio.

McCann will be eyeing up the three knockout losses on Brasil’s record and will no doubt have that spinning back elbow corked. That said, we feel it will be her volume and pressure that seals the decision.

Prediction: McCann via Decision

Value Bet: Brasil to win
