MODESTAS BUKAUSKAS VS MARCIN PRACHNIO LOWDOWN
Modestas Bukauskas’ (15-6) momentum has been violently stopped in its tracks once again. His first stint in the UFC ended very painfully with Khalil Rountree (2021) intentionally blowing his knee out to cap off a three-fight skid. A couple wins later, he was back in the UFC and picked up two solid unanimous decisions over Tyson Pedro (2023) and Zac Pauga (2023). However, he then ran into the path of Vitor Petrino (2023) who sparked him out in the second round.
Marcin Prachnio (17-7) has also struggled on the big stage. The start of his campaign could not have gone worse suffering three first-round knockouts. However, he has bounced back bumping his UFC record up to 4-5 which includes a unanimous decision over Rountree (2021) and Devin Clark in his most recent fight in February this year.
MODESTAS BUKAUSKAS VS MARCIN PRACHNIO PREDICTION
This is a very important fight as it could decide their trajectory and future in the UFC. They have not impressed, and a bad loss could be terminal. They size up similarly with Bukauskas boasting a four-inch reach advantage.
Prachnio will look to negate that with his movement by bouncing in and out of range and utilizing his speed to get his combinations off. He is the more technical striker and will be very grateful that he is not fighting a wrestler.
That said, Bukauskas has the ability to tie Prachnio up against the cage and even drag him down to the canvas. He will be wise to mix up his attacks, but he will be eyeing up the four knockout losses on his record and fancy his chances on the feet.
Bukauskas is the favourite, but this can go either way especially considering their lack of finishing ability.
