Mayra Bueno Silva (10-3-1(1)) will still be angry after her last performance. She earnt a shot at the vacant bantamweight title after submitting former champion Holly Holm (2023). Although it was later overturned to a ‘no contest’, she went on to meet Raquel Pennington (2024) at UFC 297. She started strong but wilted under the pressure and had no answer to Pennington’s grinding wrestling. Now, she returns hoping to make a statement.
Macy Chiasson (9-3) hopes to build a streak and make a claim for her own title shot. She will have to be more active for starters only fighting once since 2022. That year, she earnt a split decision over Norma Dumont and got TKO’d by Irene Aldana’s upkick to the liver folding her like a deck chair. She responded with her second submission win over Pannie Kianzad (2024) and now hopes to bag her biggest name.

The only reason this fight is so high up on the card is this could be a title eliminator. Not because of their dominance but rather the fact there are no stand-out bantamweight contenders right now.
That said, they are both dangerous fighters. They are both aggressive and very good grapplers. Chiasson will boast a six-inch reach and five-inch height advantage. She does not quite have the skill to make that count on the feet, but she will leverage that length on the ground by controlling Silva and attempting to wrap up a choke.
She will try and make this fight ugly by closing the distance and controlling Silva in the clinch and utilizing her weight advantage to pin her to the canvas. She will have to start strong and secure early control time as Silva is very dangerous in the first round.
Three rounds suits the Brazilian and the more time they spend on the feet, the more damage she will land. However, we expect Chiasson to close the distance and subdue her against the cage for the majority of the fight.
