MATEUSZ REBECKI VS LOIK RADZHABOV LOWDOWN
Mateusz Rebecki (17-1) finally got his opportunity on the Contender Series in August last year. He made quick work of Rodrigo Lidio (2022) submitting him in the first round to set up his long-awaited debut. He was originally scheduled to fight Omar Morales but eventually fought Nick Fiore. He made Rebecki work hard for his unanimous decision, but the Pole extended his win streak to 14.
Loik Radzhabov (17-4-1) had a dream start to the year winning his debut. He took his opportunity by filling in for Kamuela Kirk to take on Esteban Ribovics on the stacked UFC 285 card. He earnt a unanimous decision to build on his win and sole outing in 2022 when he submitted Zach Zane for the Eagle Fighting Championship.
MATEUSZ REBECKI VS LOIK RADZHABOV PREDICTION
Both fighters are aggressive wrestlers who fight at a furious pace and set up their takedowns with wild strikes which will create a thriller.
Radzhabov will boast a three-inch reach and four-inch height advantage which could be crucial with some composure. We expect them both to swing wildly which will leave them open to counters so if Radzhabov can remain calm he can find the chin especially when Rebecki begins to tire.
He began to fade in his fight with Fiore so he will have to pace himself better here. We give him the edge in the grappling department, but Radzhabov has quicker hands and hits hard.
We expect some violent exchanges in between takedown attempts from both men. This will be fiercely competitive and we are leaning towards Rebecki, but the Tajikistani is the value pick as the underdog.
Prediction: Rebecki via Decision
Value Bet: Radzhabov to win
