Fighting out of Glendale, USA, Mario Bautista (10-2) will be looking to pick up his third consecutive win this weekend. Coming off of a first-round submission victory over Brian Kelleher back in June, Bautista is chasing his fifth win with the promotion. An impressive win could earn Bautista a big fight next.
Looking to put Bautista’s impressive run to an end, Benito Lopez (10-1) will be returning to the octagon for the first time in over three years. Last time out, Lopez defeated Vince Morales via a unanimous decision to pick up his second win in the UFC. Lopez will be hoping to establish some sort of consistency going forward with a big win this weekend.

Heading into this weekend’s bantamweight showdown, Lopez will have the advantage in both the height and reach departments.
Despite winning twice in the UFC, it is fair to say that Lopez has looked far from convincing. His inconsistent performances have shocked many fans. Lopez’s arsenal is quite deep enough to compete anywhere near the top of the pile in what is a stacked division. Even though he has been away for three years, that may have given him time to come back stronger, but we doubt that. We suspect that Lopez will look to start off with a bang, but Bautista will be able to weather the storm and go on to pick Lopez apart wherever the fight goes to secure a decision victory.
