LUPITA GODINEZ VS ELISE REED LOWDOWN
Lupita Godinez (10-3) unexpectedly finds herself on a card again and is coming off two hard fought decisions. She ended 2022 getting outclassed and losing a unanimous decision to Angela Hill but has filled up the win column this year with solid performances over Cynthia Calvillo and Emily Ducote.
Third time lucky for Elise Reed (7-3) who was scheduled to fight Calvillo and then Iasmin Lucindo. She is just grateful to remain of the card and attempt to string two wins in a row for the first time in the UFC. She 3-3 now coming off a submission loss to Loma Lookboonmee and a unanimous decision win over Jinh Yu Frey this year.
LUPITA GODINEZ VS ELISE REED PREDICTION
This has turned out to be a terrible match up for Reed. She is a strong and confident striker, but her takedown defence is weak and has being taken down in all her UFC fights. She has been taken down 14 times in six fights and unfortunately for her, Godinez is a very strong wrestler.
The only chance Reed has is if Godinez decides to strike which she likes to do. It would be foolish here as Reed can hurt her early. If she has any sense, she will wrestle from the bell for an easy night at the office.
