JOSH FREMD VS ANDRE PETROSKI LOWDOWN

Josh Fremd (11-5) was hanging onto to his UFC career after losing his first two fights. He lost a unanimous decision to Anthony Hernandez (2022) and got submitted by Tresean Gore (2022). However, he responded brilliantly by submitting Sedriques Dumas (2023) and outpointing Jamie Pickett (2023). He then ran into Roman Kopylov (2023) and was inevitably humbled on the feet eventually getting folded by a beautiful punch to the liver.

Conversely, Andre Petroski (10-3) enjoyed the easiest start to a UFC career you could ask for. He finished Micheal Gilmore (2021) and Yaozong Hu (2021) before facing actual UFC competition in Nick Maximov (2022). He submitted him in the first round and went on to outpoint Wellington Turman (2022) and Gerald Meerschaert (2023). However, he is now coming off two TKO losses getting humbled by Michel Pereira (2023) and headbutting Jacob Malkoun’s (2024) hip.

JOSH FREMD VS ANDRE PETROSKI PREDICTION

Fremd is the rangier fighter boasting a four-inch reach and three-inch height advantage. However, Petroski is more powerful and explosive. He is a strong wrestler with decent jiu-jitsu and it will be interesting to see them tangle as Fremd is also prefers to grapple.

They are evenly matched on the feet and if they decide to stand and trade it will come down to Petroski’s power and Fremd’s volume and cardio. However, we expect Petroski to fall back on his bread and butter which is his wrestling.

We expect the threat of his takedowns to make his hands more threatening and ultimately swaying the judges with his control time and damage. We understand why he is the underdog, but he possesses all the skills to cause the upset.

Prediction: Petroski via Decision

Value Bet: Petroski to win
