JI YEON KIM VS MANDY BOHM LOWDOWN
The UFC curtain will have to come down if Ji Yeon Kim (9-6-2) loses again. She is 3-6 in the big time and she has not even fought great competition. Her last win came after a beautiful liver shot knockout to Nadia Kassem (2019) however, she has gone on to lose all four of her fights via decision since – Alexa Grasso (2020), Molly McCann (2021), Priscila Cachoeira (2022) and Joselyne Edwards (2022).
It is fair to say Mandy Bohm (7-2(1)) has not lived up to expectation yet. She arrived to the UFC with a flawless record having just outpointed Griet Eeckhout (2020) at Bellator 247. However, she has lost her two UFC fights in underwhelming unanimous decisions to Ariane Lipski (2021) and Victoria Leonardo (2022).
JI YEON KIM VS MANDY BOHM PREDICTION
Kim has extended her UFC shelf life simply due to how exciting she is. She is an aggressive striker which should create another thrilling battle as Bohm is cut from the same cloth.
We were expecting a lot more on the feet from Bohm in her two UFC outings and she is going to have improve to get past Kim. We expect her to throw her front kick but if she does not bring more to the table, Kim will outland her.
We do not expect any grappling which will suit both fighters, but they are not going to set the Spectrum Center alight. This is tough to call because their form has been poor. Neither of them possess a knockout threat so we give Kim the slight edge with her volume swaying the judges.
