JHONATA DINIZ VS KARL WILLIAMS LOWDOWN

This bout between Jhonata Diniz and Karl Williams promises to be one of the most entertaining fights on the card and is certainly one to watch.

Jhonata Diniz brings an unblemished 7-0 record and he earned his shot in the UFC with some fearsome striking in the Contender Series. On his UFC debut, he was handed a tough test against Austen Lane who wrestled and controlled him in the first round. Diniz blasted him out in the second round to preserve his 100% TKO/KO record.

Diniz meets fellow veteran Karl Williams and the American heavyweight has made a similar splash to Diniz in the division, but just in a different manner. Williams is a dominant grappler and he looks to control his fights from the first bell with seven of his ten wins coming via decision.

JHONATA DINIZ VS KARL WILLIAMS PREDICTION

This really is a case of puncher versus grappler and it will be who can impose their will and style on the other more successfully. Williams will want to take this bout deep and tire Diniz out given he has never gone past the second round.

Diniz does however have the punching power to win a bout at any moment and Williams really will have to avoid taking many punches early on especially.

Williams has faced punchers before and has been able to impose his style and win. This is another test of his credentials and that is what makes this so fascinating to watch. We lean towards the skilled Williams managing to succeed with his grappling and win on the judges’ scorecards, but it would be no surprise if Diniz ends it early given his impressive power.

PREDICTION: Karl Williams to win via decison
