JALIN TURNER VS RENATO MOICANO LOWDOWN
Jalin Turner (14-7) was filling that barrel of potential reeling off five merciless finishes in a row. However, 2023 provided a roadblock in the shape of Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker who edged split decisions. Those two losses were a setback, but he bounced back perfectly back in December last year by burying the veteran striker Bobby Green.
Renato Moicano (18-5-1) completes the final match-up on the biggest card of the year. After stepping up to take on Rafael dos Anjos (2022) at 160 lbs on short notice and receiving a vicious five round beating, he has picked up two great wins. He responded by submitting Brad Riddell (2022) and then after being out of action for 15 months, he returned to earn a unanimous decision over Drew Dober (2024).

Turner has three submissions in his last five wins, but he knows he will be playing with fire if he decides to tangle on the mat. Moicano will be giving up a lot of size and weight which will give him more reason to try and get the fight to the ground.
The Brazilian is a quality striker, but Turner will be boasting a five-inch height and reach advantage which he leverages well. He possesses knockout power and will be able to pick Moicano apart from range.
Moicano can cause problems on the feet, and it will be very interesting if he can find Turner’s back. That said, we feel Turner will be able to use his frame and strength to defend the takedowns enabling him to inflict all the damage he needs on the feet.
