JACQUELINE CAVALCANTI VS JOSIANE NUNES LOWDOWN
Jacqueline Cavalcanti is looking to follow up on the victory she enjoyed on her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 226 when she beat Zarah Fairn. The Portuguese 26-year-old brings her 6-1 record into this bout and will look to keep progressing in the women’s featherweight division.
She meets a UFC veteran in Josiane Nunes who is 10-2 but comes off a unanimous decision loss to Chelsea Chandler in March. Prior to that, she enjoyed a nine-fight win streak and including three in the Octagon.

This clash between Cavalcanti and Nunes in the women’s featherweight division promises to be an entertaining bout on the undercard. This is a golden opportunity for both fighters to progress up the rankings with both at a similar stage in their careers.
Cavalcanti is the one tipped by the bookmakers to get the win but it may not be so straight forward. Nunes is a tough opponent and will certainly challenge her.
There is little value on betting Cavalcanti while we’re not entirely convinced with Josi Nunes to take the value on her. Our preferred play in this one is on the fight to go the distance. Neither fighter possesses big power and with plenty on the line in a close fight, we expect this to go to the judges’ scorecards.
