JACK JENKINS VS HERBERT BURNS LOWDOWN

Melbourne’s Jack Jenkins returns to the Octagon after losing last time out due to a freak arm injury in his bout against Jose Chepe Mariscal. After being thrown to the canvas, Jenkins suffered an injury which forced the fight to be stopped which unfortunately put an end to his nine-fight winning streak. Fit again and fully recovered, Jenkins will be looking to get back to winning ways and improve his 12-4 record.

He was slated to face Gavin Tucker here but that fight fell through so Burns stepped in to take the fight on just two weeks’ notice. The 36-year-old Brazilian will be hoping to snap a three-fight losing skid in which he was TKO’d in all three. He clearly views this as an opportunity he has to take but he has not won a fight since June 2020.

JACK JENKINS VS HERBERT BURNS PREDICTION

It is hard to see anything other than a win for Jack Jenkins here on home soil. The Aussie should be fully recovered and bar anything freak happening once again, he should simply have far too much for Burns.

Burns is clearly taking an opportunity presented to him and the UFC will no doubt welcome the fact he has saved this fight from being scrapped. However, he has not won in over four years, has been knocked out in his last three fights, and the same outcome is likely here.

PREDICTION: Jack Jenkins to win via KO/TKO
