FRANCIS MARSHALL VS MARCELO ROJO LOWDOWN

Fighting out of New Jersey, USA, Francis Marshall (6-0) will be making his UFC debut this weekend. Marshall earned the chance to compete under the UFC banner following a successful stint on the Dana White’s Contender Series against Connor Matthews. The 23-year-old will be looking to show the UFC faithful what he is capable of.

As for his opponent this weekend, Marcelo Rojo (16-8) has not tasted victory inside the octagon for over three years. His last win came against Victor Hugo Madrigal back in 2019. So far, Rojo has lost his first two fights in the UFC. Another defeat could spell the end of his UFC dream and will be desperate to get back in the win column.

FRANCIS MARSHALL VS MARCELO ROJO PREDICTION

Heading into this weekend’s featherweight bout, Marshall will have the edge in both the height and reach departments.

There is no doubt that Marshall is a real talent and will do big things in the UFC. His wrestling will prove to be the deciding factor this weekend. With that being said, Marshall has shown that he is very hittable but his standup has improved in recent times. If Rojo can land a few heavy kicks in, it may cause Marshall a few problems. From the off, we suspect that Marshall will look to get Rojo backpedalling and take the fight to the floor and chase the submission finish.
