Elves Brener (16-3) could not have asked for a better 2023. He made his UFC debut against Zubaira Tukhugov and scraped a split decision. He then met Guram Kutateladze as the hefty underdog and pulled off an incredible third-round knockout. He then followed that up with a more clinical first-round knockout over Kaynan Kruschewsky to extend his winning streak to five.
Myktybek Orolbai (12-1-1) officially climbed into prospect status after his UFC debut. He was sitting on a six-fight win streak including five knockouts before stepping up on short notice to take on the dangerous Uros Medic (2023). However, he made light work of him submitting him in the second round.
ELVES BRENER VS MYKTYBEK OROLBAI PREDICTION
Brener arrived to the UFC with the reputation of a submission ace. However, he is quickly gaining a reputation for his heavy hands. He will fully expect the takedown, but he will be confident he can find the finish on the feet or on the ground.
As the hefty underdog, he is well worth a punt especially as he will remain a threat deep into the fight. That said, we expect Orolbai to drag Brener to the ground with relative ease.
Brener will threaten when Orolbai shoots in and will attack off his back when they hit the deck, but we expect the wrestling to shut the Brazilian down to earn a decision or late TKO.
