EDMEN SHAHBAZYAN VS GERALD MEERSCHAERT LOWDOWN
Edmen Shahbazyan (13-4) returns to the Octagon to face veteran Gerald Meerschaert (36-17) in what should be a fascinating match-up in the middleweight division.
Shahbazyan is coming off a knockout win over AJ Dobson in March but he has lost four of his last six bouts and really does need another victory to consolidate his position in the organisation.
Meerschaert is also coming off a win in March where he produced a face crank to submit Bryan Barberena. Prior to that, he had lost his last two fights and his career looked to be fading but the submission specialist remains ever dangerous as he proved last time out.

The Golden Boy Edmen Shahbazyan will be hoping to win back-to-back fights for the first time since 2019 but he will have to overcome veteran Gerald Meerschaert.
The outcome of this fight ultimately depends on whether Meerschaert can create some submission opportunities and ultimately get this fight to the ground.
Shahbazyan will do everything he can to avoid being taken down and his wrestling should be good enough to avoid that happening too often. He should have too much energy and strength to keep Meerschaert – 10 years his senior – at bay and get the win….either by late stoppage or on the scorecards.
